Leverage lets you open a position larger than your account balance by borrowing from your broker. For example, 1:100 leverage means $1,000 of margin can control about $100,000 of notional exposure. Higher leverage amplifies both gains and losses, so risk management is essential.

The spread is the difference between the price you can sell at (bid) and the price you can buy at (ask). Tighter spreads usually mean lower cost to enter and exit trades. Spreads can widen during news or low liquidity.

Margin is the amount of equity your broker locks to open and maintain a trade. Required margin depends on trade size, instrument price, and leverage. If equity falls below maintenance margin, you may face a margin call or automatic liquidation.

A standard lot is typically 100,000 units of the base currency. Mini (10,000) and micro (1,000) lots scale exposure down. Lot size directly affects pip value, margin required, and risk per pip of movement.

A stop loss closes your position at a predefined price if the market moves against you. It defines maximum loss in advance and helps enforce discipline. Stops should be placed with volatility and structure in mind — not arbitrary guesses.

A pip (percentage in point) is a standardized move in an exchange rate — often 0.0001 for many pairs and 0.01 for JPY pairs. Pip value tells you how much money each pip movement makes or loses for your lot size.

You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to probe, scan, or breach security; overload infrastructure; scrape in violation of our policies; distribute malware; or use the Services for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Services or other users.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, including design, text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by XrForex or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes unless we agree otherwise in writing.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, XRFOREX AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY) OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100), UNLESS A MANDATORY LAW PROVIDES OTHERWISE.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless XrForex and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of third-party rights.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Services.

11. Governing law and disputes

Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of XrForex without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in the designated venue may have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to consumer protections that cannot be waived.
